    Steve Aitken has been the Golf Course Superintendent/ Director of Golf at Aspen Golf Club since 1993. Steve graduated from Michigan State University and is a Certified Golf Course Superintendent. Steve has managed several golf courses in Colorado including Country Club of the Rockies, Castle Pines Golf Club, and The Ranch Country Club. Continuing to improve the golf course, facilities, and operations are Steve’s passions. Steve points to several improvements at Aspen Golf Club that he is very proud of including: Development of The Aspen Golf Club Master Plan, Audubon Certification, Construction of the Golf Clubhouse and Maintenance Facilities, tennis courts, a new irrigation system, and golf course renovation work which works to improve the playability of the golf course while also incorporating the aesthetic qualities of the surrounding environment.

    Jim Pratt PGA is the Head Golf Professional at the Aspen Golf Club and has been a member of the staff since 2010. Born in Aspen and raised on the Western Slope, Jim has deep roots here. He attended the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business with an emphasis in Marketing and Professional Golf Management. Jim is one of the original graduates from UCCS’s inaugural PGM program. He joined the Aspen Golf Club team after working at Cougar Canyon Golf Links in Trinidad, Colorado and Colorado Springs Country Club.

    While attending UCCS, Jim was fortunate enough to meet his wonderful wife Danielle, who is also a Colorado native from Pueblo. They have two children, Violet and John who keep Jim busy when not at the Aspen Golf Club. They are thrilled to call the Roaring Fork Valley home and enjoy raising their family in such an amazing place.

    Through work & school Jim has over 15 years of experience in the golf industry and has loved every minute of it. Jim and his amazing staff are dedicated to providing guests with an exceptional golf experience in the heartland of Colorado.

    Dede Cusimano has been a Class A Life Member of the LPGA Teaching and Club Professional Division for more than 20 years. She was awarded the 2013 LPGA Western Section “Teacher of the Year” and was nominated for LPGA National Teacher of the Year in 2013. Dede has been recognized by Golf for Women Magazine as one of their Top 50 Golf Instructors from 2004-2009.

    Dominic Lanese III, GCSAA is a Golf/Recreations Manager at the Aspen Golf Club and has been with the City of Aspen and Aspen Golf Course since April of 1983. Dominic and his wife Emily have dug deep roots here in Aspen and are the parents too two wonderful teenagers! 

    Originally from Long Island N,Y, he grew up in Scottsdale, AZ and he attended Scottsdale Community College before moving to Aspen. In 2002 he completed his Turfgrass Management degree at Penn State University. Dominic wears many different hats with the City of Aspen along with his work experience in Ice Facilities and Recreation he brings a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm to our team. Dominic is very passionate and committed to providing the public with the best possible playing conditions and looks forward to enhancing your golf experience everyday at the Aspen Golf Club.

    Jack Small has been a PGA Member since 1981. From 2001 - 2006, Jack was the Lead Instructor for the Mike McGetrick Golf Academy in Denver, Colorado, which was a Golf Digest Top 5 Golf Academy. He conducted and lead the ESPN “Three Club Tour Golf Schools”. From 2007 - 2013, Jack was one of the Lead Golf Instructors at Roaring Fork Club in Basalt, Colorado.

    Andrew Firman is the 1st Assistant Golf Professional at the Aspen Golf Club. He has been a class A PGA member since 2015. Andrew has over 10 years of experience working as a golf professional from semi private, private, and public facilities. Andrew graduated from the University of Montana with an environmental studies degree with business management foundations. He then pursued his degree with the PGA of America through Apprentice program.

    Born and raised in Colorado, Andrew knows just how special the Roaring Fork Valley is. His wife Kristen and their two kids love being here and are thoroughly enjoying all this valley has to offer. Andrew is very thankful for the opportunity to raise his kids here. Andrew thrives on customer service and knows the value of a great experience. Creating this for our local community and guests alike is Andrew’s number one priority at the Aspen Golf Club.
